When winter lies thick over the mountain village of Rauland, something very special happens: Rauland Winter Festival brings together folk musicians, dancers, course participants and curious audiences for an intensive cultural week in the heart of Telemark.

The festival will be cancelled in 2026. February 10–15, as always in week 7, and offers a powerhouse of concerts, dance performances, courses, lectures and traditional art.

The festival is known for bringing together both strong performers og professional environment, and emphasize showcasing folk music and traditional art in a way that is both authentic and accessible to new audience groups.

Among the artists we find, among others: Pumpegris, FolkJazz, Kartellet and Sudan Dudan, in addition to several names that are being released continuously.
