Take the E 18 from Oslo to Drammen. From Drammen, take E 134 via Kongsberg and Notodden towards Åmot and Seljord:

E 39 to Rennesøy, ferry from Mortaviga to Arsvågen, follow E 39 on to Aksdal, then E 134 to Edland and Rv 362 on to Rauland. Tot. 298 km.

Drive E 39 to Ålgård, national road 45 towards Byrkjedal and Sinnes, further over the summer open road over Suleskar. Drive up Setesdalen, highway 9 to Haukeli. Drive E 134 a short distance in the direction of Drammen, from Edland take national highway 362 to Rauland. Tot. 283 km.
