How to register for a course

Find the course you are interested in, in course list. Fill out the registration form. Registration is binding.

Don't wait too long to register! The most popular courses fill up quickly. Registration deadline is 3 weeks before the first day of the course. Upholstery has 4 weeks before the course starts. If there are spaces available, we accept registrations up until the start of the course.

Course fee 2026:
3-day course: 5400
6-day course: 8500
Individual courses have a different amount of course fee, see the course catalog for each course.

When do the courses start and when do they end?

There is an information meeting at 15.15 The first day of the course will be with general information for everyone. Then there will be lessons with a teacher from 10am. 15.30-18.00. There is only the opportunity to leave larger equipment in the workshops/workrooms before the start of the course. On the remaining days, classes are at 08.30-16.00You can work in the workshop/workroom until 10:00. 22.00 in the evening. The course ends at 12.00 the last day. This applies to both those who are going on short courses and those who are going on long courses.

Short courses start on Thursday and last until Sunday (4-day course).

Long courses last from Monday to Sunday (6-day course).

The 4-day course has 21 hours of teaching and the 6-day course has 40 hours of teaching.

What does the course fee cover?

The course fee covers the course, instructor and workshop/equipment. Some courses require material costs. Information about material costs can be found on the course page for the course in question.

Unsubscribe

Registration is binding. If you are unable to attend the course you have registered for, it is important that you send a written cancellation to post@raulandsakademiet.no as soon as you know that you cannot attend.

You pay a deposit of NOK 950 when registering for the course. The cancellation period is 14 days with a refund of the deposit. After this, the deposit will not be refunded in the event of cancellation.

If you cancel your course 30 days or less before the start of the course, the entire course fee and any booked accommodation with full board or packed lunches must be paid. This applies regardless of the reason, such as accident, illness, mishap, etc. You can then contact your insurance company regarding travel insurance.

If Raulandsakademiet If you have to cancel a course, this does not apply.

General information 

• It is no Dogs allowed during course weeks.
• Any food allergies must be documented.
• Please let us know in advance if you are vegan/vegetarian etc.
• Special prices for accommodation and packed lunches during courses.

10% discount on the course fee?

Register for courses before March 1st and get a 10% discount! Also applies to registrations before June 1st for fall courses.

Who can register for the course?
The course is open to anyone who wants to, from 14 years of age and up.

Gift cards

If you would like to purchase a gift card, please contact us by email: post@raulandsakademiet.noWe need the name of the lucky person, where we should send the gift card and who will pay.

Accommodation and food

You can order accommodation and food at Raulandsakademiet. It costs NOK 1595 per day for course participants (course package). It includes full board, breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee/meal and dinner.

Raulandsakademiet is open for accommodation all year round. There are 48 rooms divided into single rooms, single rooms with sofa bed, double rooms and some family rooms – all with shower and toilet.

If you live at home or in the cabin during the course, you can order a meal package:

3 days:
Lunch and afternoon coffee: NOK 780
Lunch, afternoon coffee and dinner: NOK 1605

6 days:
Lunch and afternoon coffee: NOK 1620
Lunch, afternoon coffee and dinner: NOK 3270

Leisure activities

There are lessons until 4:00 p.m. Until 10:00 p.m. you can work in the workshop or use the time for other leisure activities; hiking, swimming in Totak, fishing, kayaking, taking a walk in Telemarkstunet, Beverstien or you can visit one of the art exhibitions in the area (summer courses only). How do you get there? Raulandsakademiet? 

Use entur.no and farte.no. There is a bus stop right outside here, and the bus arrives here at 2:12 PM and leaves at 1:58 PM.
