Welcome to a lecture about textile artist Sigrun Berg on Tuesday, May 20th at 19pm at Raulandsakademiet.
Sigrun Berg is a textile artist that many will remember, "everyone" had a Sigrun Berg shawl on.
70s. She had large decoration assignments in many places in Norway. Among other things, she has
designed the stage curtain in Vinjesalen at Raulandsakademiet. In 2024, the book about Sigrun Berg came out
out, and on Tuesday, May 20th, author Liv Klakegg Dahlin will come to Rauland to give a lecture.
She also has an exhibition of products from Sigrun Berg's looms, such as wool jackets, shawls, ties and
much more. Sigrun Berg lived for a few years in Rauland and many people in Rauland had
weaving assignment for her.
About author Liv Klakegg Dahlin:
Currently working as a senior lecturer and head of department at the Department
for aesthetic studies at OsloMet. She is an art historian with a special field in international
textile art. She has taught design, art and fashion history for several years. In recent years she has
especially disseminated textile culture and research work related to Sigrun Berg. She published the book Sigrun
Rock-texture and work at Orfeus Publishing 2024.
