On June 17th, we were lucky enough to have Oddvar Loftsgarden join us on a trip to Bitdal to talk about sports after iron production in the area.

Group gathered in Norwegian forest for outdoor meeting, surrounded by green nature.
About 20 interested listeners joined the trip.

About 20 interested participants joined Oddvar to look for traces in the terrain. Oddvar has extensive knowledge of the history of iron mining in the area, and can read the historical landscape better than most. Last year he and his wife found a large and unknown site in Bitdal. Haner is also an excellent communicator, and told vividly about the history so that those who were with him felt like they were lost in the time when there was hectic activity in the area, with bonfires, coal mines and iron mining activity.

Oddvar is an excellent communicator and brought the past alive for those who took the tour.
