The history team will be present at Syrbekk on March 11, 2025.

The Rauland History Society was represented by the board and several other members at Syrbekk on March 11th in connection with the 80th anniversary of the shooting of Professor, Major Leif Tronstad and Sergeant Gunnar Syverstad in 1945.

It was a great commemoration that reminds us that some have fought and given their lives so that we can maintain our self-government and democracy. Important in times like these.

Recent events and discoveries also show that we are not yet finished fully understanding and interpreting the events of that time.
