This collection of writings has been published in connection with the revival of the old tradition "Hardingslepa". The initiative for this meeting between Hardingar and Raulendingar, above Hardangerv
idda, after a stay of almost 100 years, was taken by enterprising people from Hardanger. The idea was well received in Rauland, and on 1 August 1992 the meeting was seen at Hardingplassen in Åmyri.
Much has been written about this journey through the ages across Hardangervidda, but it is spread out in many writings. That is why this collection of writings was created. And here you will find descriptions and maps that can inspire new trips along "Hardingslepa". The book was published again in a slightly larger edition in 1997 in connection with the marking of the 100th anniversary of the last Åmyrmarken. Then there was an event at Saltpytt by Songa and in Åmyri.
The book contains illustrations by Harald Kihle, and Bottolf Helleland has interpreted names along the pane.
By Øystein Kostveit and Birger Kjelingtveit, 1992 and 1997.
