Rauland Historielag and Viser og Dikt welcomed us to an afternoon meeting in the party hall on Thursday 3 December. with the launch of the book HAND I HAND. This was the history team's book publication for 2020. The book offers a selection of poems that Hilda Tjønn has written over many years, and is illustrated with photos of Einar Tjønn's landscape paintings and Hilda's wood reliefs. The story of Hilda and Einar and their mutual love of nature and art is also included.
Hilda has been a faithful participant in Viser og Dikt for more than 10 years, and she can still - in her 93rd year - perform with a strong voice and of both her own and others' poems.
Eystein Matheussen has set the tone for several of the poems, and will perform some of the songs.
Unfortunately, there was no sing-along, but everyone got coffee and cakes!
