In 2022, Rauland Historielag published a revised edition of Bitdalsboka. The book from 2006 had been out of print for many years.
The book of course contains material from 2006. In addition, there has been an article about what Telemark Landbruksselskap was and is. Telemark Landbruksselskap has been a major player in Bitdal with several operations since about 1950. In addition, there are articles about what could have been done to avoid damming this beautiful valley, but still use the water for power production. Last, but not least: Johan Vaa has written some stories about legal events from Bitdal.
The book contains a lot of new images. The new ones are those taken by Martin and Turid Taksdal. They were in Bitdal as farmhands in the late 1950s. Martin was an avid photographer. The Rauland History Society has access to all of these images.
