Rauland Historielag started working on this book in 2012. Before one could start writing, the editorial committee had to collect material. Various archives were visited here, such as the Intermunicipal Archive at Kongsberg, the National Road Administration, Skien, the County Library in Telemark, Local History and other archives in Vinje municipality, the archive of Statskraft and the State Archive. Many hours were spent here photographing or writing down old and newer protocols. Photographs are always important in a book, and here the job was to get hold of and give permission to copy any picture people might have.
The book is now ready and shows the story of how the various vegans came to be, from footpaths to motorways in Rauland. It has 160 pages and is in 22×26 cm format. As usual, it can be bought in Rauland or from booksellers in Vest-Telemark.
