Annual meeting 2025

The annual meeting of the Rauland History Society was held on Thursday, April 24. There were regular annual meeting matters, and information about activities and the annual plan for 2025.

After the meeting, Herdis Lien told about her mother, Bjørg Lien, born Hamaren (1933-2019) and read from notes she had written about how a little girl experienced various events and daily life during the war. Bjørg grew up in Varmevoll, Møsstrond, and during the war years her parents had a lot of contact with saboteurs and the resistance movement. Bjørg also had to step in, and among other things, went with messages, even though she was only 7 years old when the war started. On that day, Herdis was wearing an anorak, made of parachute material from an English airdrop at Møsstrond.
