Vacant position - Head of ski patrol

We are getting ready for a new ski season at Rauland, and are now looking for a person to work with rescue, first aid and preventive safety work at the resort. Ski patrol in Rauland Skisenter must provide good first aid and gentle and safe transport of our guests. We have a high and safe level of preparedness linked to a possible rescue from our chairlifts.

We are looking for someone who loves working outdoors, is service-minded and has good communication skills. Experience from similar work as an active member of the Red Cross or other work with casualty management and first aid is a great advantage.

You are a visible representative out in the resort, most often on skis, sometimes on snowmobiles. You must be able to work independently, but function well in a team. A large part of the work consists of preventive work. You secure trails, set up fences, nets and signs and maintain these throughout the season. Other operational work and assistance to lift hosts will also occur.

You must be able to work at height as the position is part of the company's rescue preparedness.

Tasks

  • Damage management, damage registration and rescue operations in the lifts, descents
  • and nearby ski areas.
  • Responsibility for the safety work on the slopes (stitching of slopes, berms and padding)
  • Training/ interaction with others in the ski patrol
  • Climbing

    Full-time position
    The position is a full-time position for the winter season. The position can be extended for the right candidate. The position is part of the alpine resort's rotation. Work during holidays and weekends must be expected.

    Qualifications

    • You are in good physical health
    • You are responsible and solution-oriented
    • You have good collaborative skills
    • You have good communication skills in Norwegian/Scandinavian and English
    • You can handle stress and a fast pace
    • Previous experience from the industry, other similar service jobs and good references are a big plus.
    • Technical/practical skills are an advantage
    • If possible driving license class S (Or you will take this as soon as possible)
    • Driving license class B
