Vacant position - Head of ski patrol

We are getting ready for a new ski season at Rauland, and are now looking for a manager who will work with rescue, first aid and preventive safety work in the facility. The ski patrol in Rauland Skisenter must provide good first aid and gentle and safe transport of our guests. We have a high and safe level of preparedness linked to a possible rescue from our chairlifts.

We are looking for you who love to work outside, are service minded and good at communicating. The fact that you have experience from similar work as active in the Red Cross or work with damage management and first aid is a big advantage.

You are a visible representative out in the facility, most often on a snowmobile, but also on skis. You must be able to work independently, but also work well in a team. A large part of the work consists of preventing damage. You secure trails, set up fences, nets and signs and maintain this throughout the season. Other incidental operational work will also fall to the position. You lead and train other employees in the work, especially related to rescue.
You must be able to work at height as the position is part of the company's rescue preparedness.

Tasks

  • Head of damage management, damage registration and rescue operations in the lifts, slopes and nearby ski areas.
  • Responsibility for the safety work on the slopes (stitching of slopes, berms and padding)
  • Responsibility for purchasing the company's first aid equipment
  • Training/ interaction with others in the ski patrol
  • Climbing

Full-time position
The position is a full-time position for the winter season. The position can be extended for the right candidate. The position is part of the alpine resort's rotation. Work during holidays and weekends must be expected.

Qualifications

  • You are in good physical health
  • You are responsible and solution-oriented
  • You have good collaborative skills
  • You have good communication skills in Norwegian/Scandinavian and English
  • You can handle stress and a fast pace
  • You don't have a fear of heights
  • You are over 20 years old
  • Previous experience from the industry, other similar service jobs and good references are a big plus.
  • Technical/practical skills are an advantage
  • If possible driving license class S (Or you will take this as soon as possible)
  • Driving license class B
