Rauland Skisenter over 40 years
Rauland has a long and proud history in tourism, especially in the alpine industry. Over the decades, the facilities have been characterized by growth, innovation and challenges. From the opening of Hotellthe lift in 1959, which was the 20th ski lift in Norway, to the establishment of Rauland Skisenter in 1984, skiing at Rauland has seen major developments.
In addition to spectacular competitions such as the Norwegian National Championships and the Freestyle World Cup, the resort has been a pioneer in snowboarding and freestyle, providing a breeding ground for talented athletes such as Terje Håkonsen. Over time, major investments have also been made in new lifts, a children's area and technological upgrades, such as snowmaking facilities and modern pedal machines.
