Don't go to Svalbard when you can go to Rauland!
Do you like the idea of speeding away on a snowmobile in Rauland's winter landscape? Vinje is one of the few places in Norway where recreational snowmobiling is allowed on its own trails.
Rauland Adventure organizes guided tours for everyone
Snowmobile tours on fantastic trails in the terrain of Rauland. The tours normally last 3 hours. Rauland Adventure also tailors a program to suit you and your needs. In the package we can include meals, accommodation and possibly other activities. On guided tours no driver's license is required, and there is an age limit of 16 years.
Rauland Adventure also offers snowmobile rental with a license and without a guide (requires class S driver's license).


Snowmobile safari – Guided tours with Rauland Adventure
Starts in Rauland city center. Duration of a regular tour is approximately 3 hours, with on-site training and breaks along the way.
Safety is always in focus, therefore all participants must complete individual training and assessment before departure.

Conditions
Minimum 4 participants/scooters per trip, maximum 20 participants divided between 10 snowmobiles.
Tours can be arranged every day if needed. Start at 10 a.m., at 13 p.m.
Requirements for participants:
Warm clothes/shoes for outdoor activity.
Helmets and goggles can be borrowed if needed.
There is a 16-year age limit to drive your own snowmobile on safari.
CE approved Helmet, (alpine helmet works fine).

From NOK 1990 per person
No extra costs for petrol etc.

Rent snowmobiles without a guide
If you have a class S driver's license and want to explore the trail network on your own, you can book a snowmobile directly with us Snowmobile Camp Rauland or Rauland Adventure.
Some general guidelines for using the snowmobile trails
- Always consider skiers and other people. There must be a reduced speed near cabins, ski slopes, residences and along private roads.
- There is a full stop and duty to give way when crossing ski tracks and public roads.
- Scooter drivers must have a valid license and driver's license.
- Resting is allowed up to 30 meters directly from the routes, where no prohibition is signposted. Driving parallel to the slopes is not permitted.
- The general upper speed limit is 70 km/h, with passengers a maximum of 40 km/h.
- All traffic is at your own risk!
