Rauland Skisenter Eco-Lighthouse-certified

Rauland Skisenter In the autumn of 2021, became the first member company in Rauland Turist, and the third company in Vinje municipality, to be environmentally certified.

An Environmental Lighthouse-certified business is obliged to work in a targeted manner to improve its environmental performance in the areas of working environment, waste management, energy use, purchasing and transport.

Environmental lighthouses have criteria that are adapted to different industries and the certificate is awarded after an independent assessment. To ensure continuous improvement, all Environmental Lighthouse businesses must be recertified every three years.

Rauland Skisenter will take greater responsibility when it comes to green development, and a great deal of work has been done to certify Rauland Skisenter in this arrangement. The certification covers all aspects of the business, and in addition to the traditional areas such as emissions and waste management, the work also includes HSE, purchasing routines, energy and consumption of fuel and transport routines.

Source sorting at our locations, extended charging access for electric cars, the ski bus and an invitation to rent ski equipment rather than buying new are among the measures Rauland Skisenter contributes, in addition to, of course, working on new, exciting projects!
