Summer and autumn in the mountains are fantastic. Here there is an abundance of wildlife both on the mountains and in the water, and there are good opportunities for fishing with a fishing rod both from land and boat. At Rauland, you can choose between many fine hiking trails in varied terrain.

Here you can experience goats, rabbits, ducks and chickens up close. Open every day until 1 September.

At the mountain lake Uvatn, you can paddle in a canoe or row a boat. Rented wood Vierli Kafeteria.
From week 34, the rental is only available Saturday + Sunday.
Here you will also find a pleasant patio with the possibility of grilling.
Hiking
The hiking trail network is well developed with marked trails even in summer and invites you to hike at the foot of Norway's most famous national park, Hardangervidda.
One of our most popular hiking trails starts at Vierli Kafeteria and is a tour of Oksatjønn and Silkedalen. On the tour you can see and experience the sculpture Vidsyn which is placed on Vierlithe moment. The sculpture was created by sculptor Hilde Mæhlum and was unveiled on 2 September 2017.
On a hot summer day, it can be refreshing to take a bath in one of the nearby mountain waters. Tour maps for hiking can be purchased at Vierli Kafeteria.
Tour orientation
We offer our own tour orientation arranged for families with children with eight posts in the local area. Everyone who completes tour orientations receives a small prize. Contact the staff at Vierli cafeteria for handing out maps.
Fishing/ boating and canoeing
Do you rent cabins from Rauland Feriesenter, you can fish for free in our mountain lakes Oksatjønn and Uvatn. In Uvatn there is a limited area, but in Oksatjønn you can fish everywhere. Fishing licenses can be bought for NOK 60 per day.
Rauland has wonderful fishing lakes in Totak, Lognvikvatn, Tansvatn and Møsvatn, 8–10 km from Vierli. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Inatur.no.
On Vierli you can also rent canoes and boats. NOK 100 per hour and NOK 200 per day. Oars and life jackets are included.
