Rauland Skisenter takes the environment and sustainability seriously

Rauland Skisenter shall contribute to a more sustainable society and therefore takes responsibility for our environmental impact.

Our work with sustainability should permeate everything we do on a daily basis and be a natural part for all employees and guests. We direct our focus towards the environment and sustainability, and have initiated several concrete measures in what we call "a green transition".

An important part of the work is to be Environmental Lighthouse certified.

This means that we have established a environmental management system which manages the climate and environmental work and helps us with continuous improvement. The certification also contains specific requirements that must be met within working environment, waste/recycling, energy, procurement and transport. Every year we report figures for our activities that result in a climate account, as well as results and statistics. This information provides a good overview of progress and potential for improvement, and is made publicly available.

Rauland Skisenter was certified in November 2021 and in autumn 2024 we will be recertified. It is a certification that we are very proud of, and we respect that it obliges to have the stamp.
The environmental lighthouse certification involves many aspects of the business. In addition to the traditional areas such as emissions to nature and waste management. The work also involves a focus on good and clear HSE work, purchasing routines, energy and fuel consumption and transport routines.

As a guest, you are an important part of our environmental work

Rauland Skisenter wants to contribute to a clean and sustainable mountain environment by reducing littering in nature and makes you as a customer aware of your responsibility for a pleasant mountain environment.
Remember to sort waste where it is arranged for this, never throw rubbish outside, deposit bottles and use the ski bus instead of the car inside the destination.
