Archive
- Local history archive - Vinje can be found in the Grotto at Raulandsakademie. Here you will find village books, local history literature, photos and other archive material.
- The digital archive: The National Archives' digital publishing channel. Here you will find, among other things, censuses, church registers, probate records, land registry documents and more. (Please note that archive material may have clauses relating to time, content and the like)
- The Archives: The national archive, eight state archives, the Sami archive and the health archive. Here you will find practical information on how you can use the archive, and contact information.
- Samla - Digitization of Norwegian traditional archives: Digitized tradition and cultural history archive (Norwegian folk memory collection, ethno-folkloristic archive and Norwegian ethnological investigation). Source material from the whole country, also from the Rauland area.
Museum
West Telemark Museum is a consolidated museum with a total of 11 museum units in West Telemark. Several of the owners are in Rauland and Vinje.
At Digitalt Museum you have access to an overview of the museum's collections, with information that has been registered. This can be objects, photographs and buildings. It is possible to search by object category, geography, time period and more.
It varies from museum to museum how much of the collection will be available at the Digital Museum.

Library and others
- The National Library's online library has a lot of historical printed material digitized and available (village books, annuals, professional journals, newspapers, etc.). You also have the opportunity to apply for access to material that is subject to restrictions during opening hours.
- Norwegian Family History Association has compiled an overview of village books and other local history publications from Telemark and Vinje.
- Local history wiki is run by the Norwegian Institute of Local History and has many shorter and longer articles with local history material.
- Cult memory search is a digital overview of registered cultural monuments and cultural environments from the Stone Age to the present day.
