Trip to Rjukan and Vemork

On Friday, May 23rd, we invite you to an exciting trip to Rjukan and Vemork! Included is both a city tour and a lecture in Tungvannskjellaren. Transportation to and from Rauland is included.

Program

10:30: Departure from Rauland, meeting at the parking lot at Rauland Skule
11:30- 12:30 City tour of Rjukan city center with staff from the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum
12:30 -13:30 Lunch/ free time
13:30- 14:00 Rjukan to Vemork
14:00 Welcome to Vemork, outside Tungvannskjellaren
14:15 -14:40 Picture lecture about Vemork's history in Tungvannskjellaren
14:40 -15:15: Exhibition in Tungvannskjellaren at Eigehanand
15:15: Other exhibitions/film about the heavy water operation
16:00 Return home

You sign up for the history team by email: raulandhistorielag@gmail.com by May 12th. There is room for 16 people on the trip (due to transportation). If there is a lot of interest, you will have to use your own car. You must still sign up before the deadline.

Price

For members of Rauland History Society: 450 kroner (includes transport, city tour, lecture and entrance to Vemork. Lunch is not included)

For others: 650 kroner (includes transportation, city tour, lecture and entrance to Vemork. Lunch is not included.)
