In the middle of the beautiful high mountains, surrounded by majestic nature and fresh mountain air, you will find Møsstrond Turisthytte – an ideal retreat for those seeking peace, adventure and true mountain experiences. 

Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and a cozy common room with a crackling wood stove in the Dormitory. In the Skulen building you will also find office facilities if you want/need to work, a separate TV room, a playroom for the little ones and a large, sunny terrace - a perfect place to enjoy the afternoon sun.

Our conference room of approximately 50 m² provides an intimate and functional atmosphere, ideal for both small and medium-sized groups who want a different meeting experience far from the noise of the city. Also perfect for weddings and other celebrations.

Self-catering cottage

Remember that at Møsstrond Turisthytte, food and accommodation are self-service. This makes it a little more affordable and at the same time much more social. Here you will meet day-trippers and local residents, small and large groups, companies and private individuals on trips. In winter, there are cross-country skiers, kiters, ice fishermen, snowman builders and farmers. The rest of the year you will meet yoga lovers, fishermen, hunters, mullet, blueberry and mushroom pickers, birdwatchers and those who just enjoy the peace, quiet and the fantastic view over Møstvatn.  

MB Mountain Watch

If you wish to visit Møsstrond Turisthytte (tel. 45251420), MB Fjellvåken can stop at Førnes and pick up or drop off passengers there. This must be agreed in advance with both Møsstrond Turisthytte and the crew at Fjellvåken.
