Haukeli Husky
Dog sledding is the dream of real wilderness experience!
Experience dog sledding at the foot of Hardangervidda. A unique and exciting adventure, in fantastic mountain scenery. All tours are led by an experienced guide. Visit our friendly and social Alaskan Huskies and learn more about sled dogs. They are ready to take you on a journey!
Behind the bucket, on the sled, there is only you, your loyal four-legged friends and the silence and tranquility of the mountain - nothing else. All you see are mountains, all you hear is the rushing wind, your own breathing, the sled's creaking and soft, quick paws against the snow.
Haukeli Husky is a family-run adventure company, established in 2004. We currently have 54 enthusiastic, friendly dogs who love to go on walks. Our tours take place in a fantastic mountain landscape at the edge of Hardangervidda.
We offer various trips and experiences in summer and winter. On our trips, two and two share driving a dog team. You don't need any experience with dog sledding to join us on a trip, you get all the instruction you need and your dogs naturally follow our experienced guide who drives first.
Our aim is to give people genuine wilderness experiences; experiences they cannot so easily experience elsewhere.

Haukeli Husky Mountain Farm
Haukeli Husky Fjellgård/kennel is located in a quiet, scenic mountain area approx. 900 m. at the marginal zone of Hardangervidda. Here you can enjoy the silence and frolic in lots of nature all year round. We have great hiking opportunities right outside the door. The ski areas Hovden, Haukelifjell and Rauland are 30-40 minutes' drive from the farm.
We offer accommodation in bed and breakfast in summer and in cabins in summer and winter. As a guest with us, you have access to a hot tub and sauna.
The lakes Songa and Totak are nearby, where there are great opportunities for trips, fishing and paddling. Northern Europe's largest stone clock, Urdbøuri, is a stone's throw from us.
In winter, it's nice to go skiing on the slopes that we drive up to the dogs. You can choose to go on short or long ski trips into the mountains, or if you want to go on a summit trip, that is also possible.
If you want to explore the area by car, Haukeli Husky Logde is right in the middle of nowhere. It is approx. 30 min. driving to the destinations; Hovden, Rauland and Vågsli/Haukeliseter. There are many opportunities for activities and trips in summer and winter.
