Folkemusikkscena at Rauland wishes to be a good and attractive concert arena for performers and the public and a central, regional actor in the continuation and further development of folk music and dance.

Scena is primarily a concert arena for traditional Norwegian folk music, but can simultaneously present new, boundary-breaking and genre-crossing expressions. The stage should also be a forum where there is room for other countries' folk music.
