Hekate is a newly established vocal trio that exclusively sing music you can dance to. All three have distinguished themselves as solo artists on the Norwegian music scene, and now they have teamed up to give the audience what they still don't know they want - an hour of uncompromising singing in a club setting. The repertoire consists of folk music from all over the country, performed vocally and with improvisation as one of the main elements. The aim is that the audience has no chance to stand still once they have started.
Hekate is:
Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen
Malin Alander
Silje Risdal Liahagen

The three voices in the trio are both different and similar, and this contributes to creating a dynamic sound image with a wide spectrum of sound. They had their debut concert at Tuva's Blodklubb at Riksscenen, and there created a space of dancing, listening and enthusiasm for the country music. Since then they have been a hot topic of conversation in the folk music scene in Norway. The trio played at Lindmo on NRK, on 08.03.24. At the Landskappleiken in Gol, they topped the open class as a trio and Vocal A individually.
