After an extensive renovation period, Mogen Turisthytte is now ready to welcome guests for a new summer season! With new bathrooms, toilets and completely renovated rooms, the cabin appears almost new - while retaining its distinctive charm in the middle of the mighty Telemark nature.
“The cabin has now been completely renovated to a modern and comfortable standard,” say the drivers of Mogen. The rooms have been given a brighter and more modern feel with new panels, and all sanitary facilities have been upgraded to today's requirements.
The cabin has also received significant upgrades in terms of safety, including a new sprinkler system and modern fire protection.
Local collaboration in demanding environments
The renovation work has been carried out with solid help from local players on Møsstrond, who have handled demanding logistics with barges, boats and snowmobiles – regardless of the weather.
Contractors such as Rauland Elektriske, Tømrer Håvard Lien and Kvitseidrør have played key roles in bringing the project to fruition. The result is a safe, modern and hospitable cabin – right in the heart of the Hardangervidda.
Stay comfortably – in the middle of the wilderness
Mogen now offers accommodation in rooms with 2, 3 and 4 beds, as well as several family rooms with charming lofts – perfect for families with children. The loft in the family rooms has 5 or 6 beds and gives the children a little adventurous sleeping space.
The cabin will reopen on June 27th, and demand for the summer holidays is already high. If you want to secure a place for this summer's mountain adventure, it is recommended to book early.
