Join a historic route that has led generations of foot tourists, cottagers and permanent residents, in and out of a unique roadless community. Fjellvåken, in several editions, has gone faithfully on schedule for over 130 years.

The catamaran, which Fjellvåken is, cascades the 4 miles past mountain forests in a fantastic landscape. Vassvegen is the main route for those who live permanently along Lake Møsvatn. The freezing and melting makes one isolated for several weeks in spring and autumn. Møsvatn at 918 MOH is a unique experience that you will never forget.

The boat lands and stays at Liseth, as long as you have plenty of time to walk Kvennavegen and or a trip up to Argefoss, which is actually the start of the industrial adventure.

It is also a fantastic starting point for day, fishing and tent trips, and a natural start to a longer hike on Hardangervidda. On the boat, there is simple service, but you can order something else when you book.

Mogen or Møsstrond

MB Fjellvaaken runs to Mogen Turisthytte. If you wish to visit Møsstrond Turisthytte (tel. 45251420), Fjellvåken can stop at Førnes and pick up or drop off passengers from there. This must be agreed in advance with both Møsstrond Turisthytte and the crew at Fjellvåken.
