      Rent a canoe at Rauland

      Canoe on Vierli

      Rauland Feriesenter rents out canoes in Uvatn (below Vierli Kafeteria) and has a floating dock, new canoes and a great picnic area with a fire pit.

      Canoe on Austbø

      Austbø Hotell has canoes for rent, its own 24-hour kayak machine and great paddling water right below the hotel. Here you can follow the Myraåi river which winds its way out to beautiful Tansvatn. Here you will also find Fagersand with beach and hiking trails.

      Saunas on Vierli

      How about a relaxing start to the day or a wonderful break after the hike? Vierli has two saunas located by Uvatn. Here you can easily book an appointment via an app on your phone.

      Falkeriset - on paved paths 

      The great trip up to Falkenuten (1096 m) is not without reason everyone's favourite! The trip is 1,5 kilometers on paved paths - and at the top you are rewarded with a panoramic view of Hardangervidda and Gaustatoppen.

      Sculptures Vidsyn

      You see it from the main road - enthroned up on Vierlithe top, the mysterious sculpture, which follows you with its eyes. Park by Vierli cafeteria, and follow the footpath under the bridge and further up - both the sculpture and the view at the top make it a truly wonderful experience.

      The boss nut

      Another top tour favorite is The boss nut, a 1,5-hour walk starting at the crossroads to Varland. From the top (1431 m above sea level) you have fantastic views in all directions, both towards Gaustatoppen, Brattefjell, Møsvatn and towards Hardangervidda.

      Visit Gaustatoppen - Norway's best viewpoint

      Gaustatoppen (1883 m.) rises majestically above Rjukan, and is referred to by many as Norway's most beautiful mountain. The top is easily accessible and easy to climb, but still offers southern Norway's widest view.

      From the top, in clear weather, you can see approximately one sixth of Norway. You can get here on foot or by car Gaustabanen which takes you up over 700 meters in height inside the mountain.

      Gaustatoppen is reflected in a clear lake surrounded by green trees and blue sky. Perfect Norwegian nature.

      Golf and mini golf

      Vierli offers mini golf and frisbee golf in beautiful surroundings around Uvatn.

      Austbø Hotell offers year-round golf simulator in collaboration with Vinje Golf

      Vrådal Golf is a 9 hole layout on the island of Fossøy. The golf course is the perfect place for beginners with our relaxed and welcoming environment.
