Pumpegris has taken the folk music world by storm and now they're coming to Rauland Winter Festival.

Pumpegris plays the night away with great songs, rock-hard beats and honest lyrics where vocalist Vera Sonne leans towards everything from kveding to rap, in other words what captures the dancing drive of folk music at any given time. In addition, Pumpegris draws inspiration from funk, shoegaze, folk pop and hip hop and takes on all traditions with great authority. In this way, they take folk music into something close, dirty and groovy.

Fritids is Pumpegris' debut album, produced by Tuva Syvertsen. Norwegian cultural heritage meets today's youth, slather meets rap, fuzz guitar meets hymn tones. The contrast between the vulnerable and humorous is consistent in both the music and the lyrics. Pumpegris has come to spread Norwegian folk music with partying and fun, just as it originated.
