Autumn meeting for cabin owners in Rauland on October 3rd

Saturday, October 3rd, Rauland invites Hyttevelforening to this year's autumn meeting at Rauland HøgfjellshotellIt will be a pleasant afternoon with folk music, good food, refreshments, current news from the cabin welfare association – and special offers for the children.

The autumn meeting is a meeting place for those who have a cabin in Rauland, with both socializing, entertainment and useful information. The doors open at 2:30 PM, and the program lasts from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Folk music with Magnus Wiik

The afternoon starts with a musical performance in the lobby from Magnus Wiik, one of Norway's leading folk musicians. The award-winning musician has toured as a bandleader and sideman in more than 30 countries and released nearly twenty albums. He currently teaches folk music at the University of Southeast Norway in Rauland.

After the music, we head to the dining room, where we are served a cured meat platter with scrambled eggs, potato salad, bread and butter, followed by cake and coffee or tea. Other drinks can be purchased at the bar.

"The gold lies in Rauland"

At 4:15 p.m. there will be a snack with Øystein Haugan from Rjukan under the title "The gold lies in Rauland". Here the audience can hear more about the world heritage at Rjukan and Notodden, and what significance Rauland has in this history. The world heritage is also relevant through the TV series about the Norwegian world heritage sites.

Children are of course welcome.

Rauland Hyttevelforening wants more families with children to participate in the autumn meeting. Therefore, children of participating parents or grandparents receive a free children's buffet with sausages or nuggets and French fries, cake and soft drinks. The children also have access to the activity and playroom, as well as the hotel's swimming pool all day together with an adult companion. Remember to register the children at the same time as the adults.
