Mogen Tourist Cabin

Mogen Turisthytte is magnificently located at the western end of Møsvatn. The place has long traditions as a gateway to the Hardangervidda itself and is one of the vidda's oldest tourist huts.

Mogen has 48 beds, divided into 2-, 3- and 4-person rooms. There are bunk beds in 4-bed rooms and a loft in some 5- and 6-bed rooms. You can either use a bed sheet or rent bedding at the cabin. Showers and toilets are in the hallway on the same floor as the rooms.

Local food in a class of its own
The hosts at Mogen serve local food based on local ingredients and the kitchen is the heart of Mogen. Here we produce cold cuts, sausages and fish cakes using secret local recipes.

Great hiking opportunities
Many people choose Mogen as a base for great trips in the area. Here there are options for short trips, longer trips, summit trips and fishing trips. Take the trip along the Kvenna, see the fjords grazing, the trout awake and the waterfall rushing.
